Beautiful pattern from here, but goodness only knows what I did to it. It refused to lie flat and seemed to just have too many stitches.

Still not big enough, but I think i'll stick with it and attempt some extra rounds.

Ha ha Sarah... you made me laugh seeing the Hoopla inside the box I had posted to you! I love the re-made doily rug.. I know it is tricky with Hoopla, it seems to react really well to some patterns and hate others...but when you find a lovely one like this it is beautiful. I shall look forward to seeing it grow...and what are you going to do thats mad..a giant Korknisse? :)x

ReplyDeleteThis freaks me out a bit - an old friend of mine used to do 'am I big or am I little' photographs with over-sized items. It was always pretty funny.... Anyhow, this is like one of those photos... Is the crochet big or are they the feet of a borrower...?? Ha!

ReplyDeleteIn answer to the questions, I used a 20 mm hook and it is actually quite easy to use- the Hooplayarn I chose has got a bit of stretch!

DeleteNow, I am ashamed to say, this is as far as I got with the rug. It sits languishing in bag with other WIPs awaiting their completion.
I think it would take 2-3 cones of Hoopla to get something of a reasonable size, but I'm not too sure.
So sorry I can't help you further and good luck with yours. Do let me know how you get on.

Hi Annaboo, I've just ordered 5 cones of white hoopla so I'm awaiting the finishing of your rug to help me out with the increase in the pattern - I'm terrible at that sort of thing!
