An Autumn giveaway *NOW CLOSED*

***Congratulations to Rebecca Lee***

Autumn is here.

And what could be more fitting at this time of year than this leafy yarn bowl?

Isn't it a beauty?
The lovely people at KnitPro kindly sent me one to try and I must admit, I totally adore it.

It's beautifully handcrafted in wood and is the pefect size for holding a fairly large ball of yarn.
Why use a yarn bowl, you wonder? Well, I find that it helps keep an even tension and (more importantly for me) it prevents the yarn from disappearing under the sofa, or being taken off by the cat / dog / children whilst I work.

It's even got a handy little stopper to stop the yarn escaping.

I was also sent a cute little stitchmarker pouch, which now means I can keep them in one place.
(No more scrabbling around in the bottom of project bags for me!)

AND, I'm so pleased to announce that KnitPro have given me an extra yarn bowl and pouch to giveaway - hooray!

The giveaway is open worldwide and will run until midnight on 3rd October. A winner will be drawn at random and contacted by email on 4th October.

If you'd like to enter, then click below to enter.

Stylecraft Giveaway *NOW CLOSED*

**This Giveaway is now closed** See the winners Here

Know how to beat those January blues? - Win yourself some free stuff, of course!

So I thought it the perfect time to host a Stylecraft Yarns giveaway.
Hooray!

Let's cut straight to it - the winner will receive £25 to spend in a bricks and mortar, real-life yarn store on Stylecraft yarns. 2nd place will get £15 and 3rd place, £10. The vouchers cannot, alas be used online but 'tis a great way to support your local yarn store - and there's nothing like going into a shop and squidging some lovely balls of the fluffy stuff.

Now unfortunately, this is only open to UK residents, BUT I will not leave out my overseas friends, so I'll draw one non-UK winner and they'll receive a bundle of Stylecraft goodies.

Liking the sound of this?
Then all you need to do is leave me a comment below and state whether you're in the U.K. or overseas.

The winners will be drawn at random and announced on Saturday 14th January- I'll post the winner here and tell you how to get in contact.

Wishing you all loads of luck ...🤞🤞🤞🤞
Have a great week,

Sarah xx

Some slippers and a Christmas Eve Giveaway

Hello, you lovely lot.
How are we all?

Ready for Christmas?
No, me either.

Well never mind.

I've been too busy making slippers!
They started off life as baby booties (I have new baby twin nieces- awwwww) from a pattern I'd found on the interweb, but me, being me decided to simplify things a bit and create my own pattern...

Very nice I thought.

And then one of my lovely Instagram buddies asked if I could use t-shirt yarn to make an adult version.
Great idea. Game on....
And so, armed with my trusty mega-hooks (12mm and 15mm) I set about my task.

Ooooooo, me likey!

So soft and squidgey (and made using one cone of Hooplayarn with plenty left over, too),

If you fancy making a pair, then the pattern's available in my Etsy shop. Just click on the link over there on the left. The pattern shows how to make various sizes, too.

And now for the second part of my post...

How about a Christmas Giveaway to cheer you up?

You could be the winner of all of these lovely patterns from my Etsy shop!!!!
It's easy

1. Be a follower
2. Leave me a comment here to let me know you'd like to enter!

That's it. No jumping through hoops.

I'll draw the winner on Christmas Eve.

Good luck,
And have a very Happy Christmas!

Apologies and new makes

I need to apologise twice.

Firstly, for making Christmas things.
Madness.
It's not even the end of October.
Sorry.

Xmas blocks

My excuse?
I have a craft sale at the beginning of November, and I thought people might like to buy these little blocks as gifts.

Xmas blocks
Xmas blocks

I've used a mixture of old Christmas images and music scores to cover the sides and am quite pleased with how they've turned out.

Xmas blocks

There's these too.

Xmas blocks 2

And, you'll be pleased to know, some commissioned blocks for a friend, which are distinctly non-christmassy.

Image from My iPhone!

So that's my first apology.

My second is for my absence from visiting all your wonderful blogs as often as I'd like.
My excuse for this?

Xmas blocks 2

One word.
eBay.

I am seriously selling everything from the loft in a bid (ha ha) to make some money and make some space in said loft.

This has so far involved a lengthy process of eliminating the good stuff from the rubbish and creating towering crates of boxes around the house; some to be put back into the loft (to be eBay-ed at a later date), some to be 'charity-shopped' and the rest to be photographed/ put onto eBay/ sent in post.

It's become a new obsession as I begin to check my items to see how many 'watchers' I have (spooky) and how many bids there are on my unopened pack of aged 2-3 Bob the Builder pants (no joke).

So, apologies.
I will try to catch up with you all as soon as I can.
Thank you for following, reading and commenting. You are marvellous people.

Have a great weekend, all xx

PS Don't forget to enter my giveaway- I will draw winners in Oct 31st. X
