Fairy Toadstool Crochet

Just a quickie post.

Crochet toadstool

This is a little amigurumi crochet I have been working on. It wasn't particularly difficult, and I 'used the force' (that's a proper crochet term, right?) when it came to creating the pattern: made in two pieces, filled with rice in the bottom to give it some weight and decorated with crochet, felt and beads.

Hope you like. X

That is one of the cutest things i've ever seen, absolutely gorgeous. I reckon the force will catch on now:)

great idea to fill the bottom with rice, it would be a fun pincushion. I just found you via a comment on myrtle & lloyd, :) I think we both started up blogging at the same time. Pop over and say hi any time, I'm loving your blog :)

Thanks for your kind comments, everyone!
I enjoyed making this.
It stands about 17cms tall, so not too tiny.

OMG...do you believe in coincidence or do you think that's rubbish and that all things in life are "planned"? You're asking where I'm going with this, right? Well, I just finished making a crocheted cupcake this morning. This is not my first, nor will it be my last, but it's sitting here in front of me in limbo because I'm trying to puzzle out how to fill it. I've used fiberfill on the others, but they don't have enough wait and tend to want to lurch to one side or t'other. And I happen to open up this post and read through it. Gah! Rice! Genius! Thank you!!!! And I also LOVE the toadstool and will need to try to do one of those too! Off to hustle up some rice...why didn't I think of that????? x&o, Annette

Hi there - I've just stumbled across your blog, and it's great, so I'm a new follower!

I love this toadstool - so cute! I'll have to try to make one myself - although it looks very tricky to me! :o)

Dearest Annaboo,
I wanted to share with you the toadstool I made from your pattern. I wanted to finish it but it was past midnite and I didn't have the adornments I wanted so I used what I had on hand. I think it turned out so cute. Please let me know what you think. Thanks ever so much.
